Seven Weeks Puppies

Week seven is here, why does it go so fast?  Dash has not been nursing them at all.  Instead she sneaks random food to their bed when we are not looking.  Where did that jar of mayo go? How did the puppies get the pork chop bone? Opps, I left the hard boil eggs on the counter and left the room.  All items found in the puppy bed.  Hopefully the junk food did not upset their stomachs too much, but can’t fight a mothers instincts.
The potty training is going well.  My husband scooped the snow off the grass to keep them from using the sidewalk. They go when we take them out everytime, but we are not always around to take them every two hours.  Next month will be better, because they should be able to hold it three hours between breaks. Still always taking them out after they eat and when they first wake up is the best bet for fewer messes. Once they get more one on one attention, I’m sure the house breaking will go smooth.

Six Weeks Puppies

Week six has become bitter sweet.  The puppies have grown so much.  They are now fallowing us outside having their potty breaks.  Play time is longer, curiosity is broadening.  Our puppies are so attentive, wanting to be with us, and discover new things. They have all received their six week shots, which is a sign they are getting ready to go to their new homes. Our home has been completely insane with 11 puppies, but it is going to be so sad to see them leave.  Hopefully they will be loved as much in their new homes as we love them now.
