Week Five
Week 5 of puppy madness, it isn’t really, but it can get crazy at times. The puppies are becoming more independent. They are now eating solid dog food. Mom has been weaning them gradually. Every once and a while they pin her down for a nip, but it has become less frequent. They cry less now that they know that solid food is good. We keep them outside all day to explore the backyard. Not a one has escaped, and they are content. Mom is free to come and go as she pleases, in and out the doggy door. They will soon be six weeks before I know it. Some of them will be going to their new homes soon. I’m excited that our puppies will bring joy to some great families.

Birthday Party #2
This was our second birthday party for the month. I planned not a single activity. Put out dress up clothing, but knew the puppies would be the stars of the party again. I had the kids let the puppies rest all day. When the party stated they were played with for the first thirty minutes. Then they needed to go in for a nap again. At the end of the party they came out again. You can tell they are still very young by the amount of sleep they really do need.
Our Puppies that have deposits on them are wearing collars. #1 is in a green reflective color. #6 has a blue collar. #3 are in a red collar. #5 is in a black collar. I will try and post more individual pictures of them all soon.

Week three
This week has been the best so far with the puppies. There eyes have now opened. They are starting to walk, rather then crawl around. Almost, they still have a hard time on the slick floors. Some are stronger then others. Our puppies are beginning to socialize with each other. I find them sitting up a lot more and looking at what is going on around them. The next mile stone, there ears will open up.
#1~She is stunning.---->
#2~Male, maybe I should have gotten pictures when they are more active, next time.
#3~She did not what to sit still long enough to get a picture, just wanted to know what was going on around her.
#4~ Again, this picture may describe her better.
#4~Sweet girl,
#5~Male, always finds his way to the bottom of the puppy pile.
#6~ Miss independent, I have lost this pup the most often.
#7~ she is defiantly the smallest of the litter.
Her marking on her chest is much larger then her oldest sister.
I came home from work today and Rose was whining. The two solid liver girls had escaped the playpen. The fun begins, The girls surprised me, they seem so mellow.
They have found there voice and are getting around.

Week Two
The puppies have doubled in size and will soon be opening there eyes. Rose has been a very protective and attentive mother. She has been eating three times a day, taking vitamins, and regular snacks in-between. It takes a lot more nutrition to nurse puppies. All and All, the pups are healthy strong, and starting to get personality.
